Advanced Tips to Rank Your Site on Page 1 of Google

Any new brand needs promotion to grow and reach more people. We have social media promotions via Instagram pages and Facebook but promoting a website, such as a blog, on the internet without the aid of social media platforms is much different.

Whenever we are confused about anything, even the smallest of things, and we don’t know what to do, we google.

Let it be your flu symptoms or features of a new phone. When you do google it, chances are that you will click on the first few links for research purposes but won’t go beyond that.

This is why most website owners aspire to get a top ranking on google.

They get more traffic on their website and if they are selling something then a potential customer. Here are some ways to get that #1 spot everybody is after:

The Magic Word:

They said it right, small things do matter! If you target the right “magic word”, which is a keyword, you can get the top rank very easily.

For instance, if I create a page for “blue sponge rubber toothpaste”, I will get the top rank very soon but, that’s not what I want, right?

What I mean is that if we have absurd keywords of such sort, we would get the top rank almost immediately. That is not what we want the top rank in, though. We want our keywords to be real questions/ topics that people would type in when they google.

What you could do is look for essential keywords online via tools like “KeywordTool.io”. look for keywords which have a good amount of searches and use them to increase traffic on your website.

How to Make the Magic Work?

After you are done with picking the relevant keywords, you should know how to use those keywords as well. These keywords are important but you should also do justice to them by writing in-depth explanations about your topic and not be too vague about it. You should not overuse the keywords but should be aware of the different ways you can use these words.

For example:

  • You can put your keyword in the URL to your website.
  • The title of your piece.
  • Image captions.
  • Within your piece, but not too many times.
  • Sub-headings.

Have Variety for Your Audience:

Sometimes, you can push with all the strength you have but it still won’t be enough. Even if you have written the greatest piece on a topic, sometimes that isn’t enough to reach the public. In a case like this, you should consider converting your data into different forms of content such as videos. You could get twice the amount of SERP hits by being listed in the video section of the google searches. This works very well with the image section. This is a good renown marketing strategy and could get you more traffic as well as people sometimes prefer videos or visual content over just reading about something.

Be at Ease

A very important part of succeeding at this is to understand the dynamics of this environment and know how competitive it can get. If you are just starting off with your blog or small business, you don’t start competing with already established organizations with have a large marketing budget. It isn’t impossible but is a waste of time for start-ups.

What I want to convey is that instead of trying to compete with already established organizations trough extremely popular keywords, become the bigger fish.

This means that you have to be specific and to the point with what your main product is. For example: if you have a bakery and have a website for it, instead of saying that you offer baked goods you could say, “custom made cakes for anniversary” or “bachelor party themed cupcakes”. The more specific your keywords are, the more likely they are to be ranked up higher soon.

The Overflow of Content

Most companies these days are using content marketing as a part of their mainstream marketing strategy. This involves offering a huge variety of things to your audience on your page. Such as, newsletters, videos, blog posts, guest posts, etcetera which help grab the audience’s attention.

To get the top ranking, you need to be regular with posting. You need to add new content to your website from time to time but don’t do it just for the sake of posting or being regular. You should add informative and good quality content. This content will help you increase your audience as well as make one person stay in your webpage for longer.

There are no short-cuts to anything. You have to start from the bottom and work your way up. This way is hard but it sure does guarantee one thing which is when you reach the top, you’ll be there to stay. Quit being lazy and get working. Maybe soon you will be able to beat the huge companies as well!

    Hey Deepak Pant,

Nice Article, But I want to add some more points to get your keywords fastly. Try Ahrefs tool. Use Keyword explorer and it will give the estimates of backlinks to get the keywords rank. I am trying ahrefs from last 2 years and mostly my all keywords ranked, as I worked according to ahrefs estimate.

2nd option is make your website fast in Mobile as well as in desktop. Your onpage should be 90% ok. Create authority link building from some off page activities like guest post, business listing, content curation, social sharing and profile creations.
