How to Unlock Your Apple iPhone XS Max

With Apple’s new lineup of phones, the Apple iPhone XS Max packs quite a number of specs that are not so hard to ignore. With a display size of 6.5 inches, super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen in rich 16M colors, there’s no doubt that this iPhone model continues to give us the pristine Apple screen display.

Its variants with 64 up to 512GB of memory also make it a stellar choice for iPhone users in need of the new Apple fix. Charging time is also great as it can easily be fully charged in an hour. Other worthy mentions for its specs is its A12 Bionic chip, runs on iOS 12, a dual-12 megapixel camera with smart HDR and OIS, and by far the best facial recognition feature in the phone market.

Sounds stellar right? Yep! It is indeed an Apple brand, but the iPhone XS Max does come with a hefty price tag that retails for $1,000 for its 64GB, and obviously a much higher price if you go for the variants with higher memory. Thus, the majority of us get this phone through a carrier-locked model that sets you to a 2-year contract with a network. Not much of an issue right?

Well, not entirely. The downside of having a carrier-locked iPhone XS Max is that a carrier will definitely have your phone installed with bloat wares and apps that you rarely used taking up space in your phone. Another common issue is that you will not be able to use your phone with other carriers, which is a very needed freedom when you are traveling abroad, or if you simply don’t get a good signal in your area. Now compare that to a network unlock XS Max, you get the opposite. Plus, your phone’s price value will go up once you sell it.

But even if your new iPhone XS Max is carrier-locked, there’s no need to worry as there is a simple way that you can enjoy your XS Max with its full features while having the freedom to use it with other carriers locally, or internationally.

Thanks to our friends at, they have given us this quick step-by-step guide on how you can successfully network unlock your iPhone XS Max.

Step 1: Locate your iPhone’s IMEI. The IMEI is a unique 15-digit number of your phone which you can easily find by dialing *#06#. Take note of the digits.

Steps 2: Visit the UnlockUnit website or your preferred network unlock provider. UnlockUnit is a website dedicated to network unlocking phones such as the iPhone and other phone models. They’ve been in the business for years, so rest assured you are provided with professional service, and they have been tested by thousands of customers already.

Step 3: In the phone model field, select “iPhone XS Max”, followed by the original carrier of your phone, and the IMEI number that you took note of earlier. Then your dedicated email address where they can send your network unlock code.

Step 4: Select a payment method. UnlockUnit offers two payment options which are Paypal or credit card. Easily pick the one that’s more convenient for you.

Now to note, the unlocking process of an iPhone is different than the one used for Android devices, as it doesn’t require an unlock code since the phone doesn’t ask for one. If you insert a non-accepted SIM card, you won’t have any GSM signal and the iPhone won’t ask for an unlock code.

Step 5: After you placed an order with UnlockUnit, you will automatically receive an email to confirm you that we received your order and we’re taking care of it. You will be sent an email with the network unlock code for your phone. Before keying it in your device, make sure to do the following steps: `

You will also receive details on what you have to do next. Specifically, you need to follow these steps:

  • Install the latest version of iTunes on your PC.
  • If your phone doesn’t have the latest version of iOS, update it to the latest one available on iTunes.
  • Insert a non-accepted SIM card, then connect the phone to iTunes.
  • Wait until your phone is detected by iTunes.
  • Disconnect the phone, then reconnect it after 10 seconds.

Therefore, just follow the steps above and your phone will be ready to use with any GSM network around the world.

NOTE: If the Unlocking Process of the iPhone was successful! Your phone will remain free of any carrier lock even after new updates of your phone firmware.

Also, it’s worth to mention that UnlockUnit also unlocks other mobile phone brands like Samsung, HTC, Huawei, Blackberry, Apple, Motorola, Sony, and of course other LG phone models.
