Who doesn’t love a good Sandbox game? They are fun, colorful – and they allow you to escape to a simpler world than the one we live in.

If you are unfamiliar with what a sandbox game is, Techopedia describes a Sandbox game as a style of game in which minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, allowing the gamer to roam and change a virtual world at will.

Of course, Minecraft might be the most popular and most played Sandbox game ever, but don’t be fooled – there are a ton of other options to check out that might better fit your level, age, and intentions.

You can find Sandbox games to play on the computer, Xbox, PlayStation and more – but the real fun is found in the mobile Sandbox games. Here are our personal favorite mobile Sandbox games we think you should check out:
