6 Hacks To Promote Your New Website

This article is meant for website owners to make aware on the tactics to promote their website.

Do you have a newly published website? Are you looking to get more traffic? Then you came to the right place! This post is here to give you 6 hacks to help promote and market your website!

1. Search Engine Optimization(SEO)

When it comes to promoting your website, SEO is one of the essential things that needs to be implemented. If you don’t do this then your page won’t come up in a search engine. The way you use SEO is by making sure you put in essential keywords. For example, if you have a website hosted somewhere either on a dedicated OR shared hosting that is for selling homemade candles then you want to make sure that your page contains the words that will make your website come up when someone searches for homemade candles. Some words you might use are: candle, homemade, and all-natural. You could also add some words that make your candles unique from other homemade candles. You need to make sure you have the best words that describe your website content so people will be able to see it when they search.

2. Email Marketing

This will help you keep in contact with past visitors and/or customers and be able to grow your fan base. You could have something that either sends you their email addresses when they sign up for an account or have a newsletter type sign up. Either way, make sure they know that you will be saving their email addresses. Another thing you could offer is special deals and/or special benefits for people who are signed up for your newsletter. Those benefits can be anything from knowing about new products before everyone else to being able to get a special coupon to use towards their next order. Once you have the email addresses then you can send important information about your website and products.

3. Paid Ads

This strategy is another way to get on the search engine page when your niche is searched. The way this works is you pay to have your website advertised on the search engine and people who are searching for similar content from your website will be able to see it. They can click on the ad and it will take them right to your page. If you don’t want to pay an amount right out then you can set it up where you only pay when someone actually clicks on the link. For example, say a person is searching for homemade candles and your website doesn’t come up but your ad does then you could still get visitors and purchases. This is just to help your chances of getting people to come to your website.

4. Social Media Ads

With this marketing strategy, you pay to have ads posted on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Since Facebook has so many people of all walks of life, there’s a good chance that it will get viewed quite a bit. A good thing about this type of strategy is that you can target specific people. For example, you can have your ads shown to friends of your fans or people from a specific location. This kind of ad really helps you reach many people.

5. Guest Blogs

This one is a really good one because there are always many websites that are dedicated to certain niches. The way this works is you find the websites that are the leaders in your niche and you volunteer to write a guest blog as long as you can advertise your website. This is good because you could get new customers from that websites fan base. This is also a good way to show something unique that you do with your products and also a way to show how much knowledge you have. If you do well then your traffic could pick up very quickly.

6. Retargeting

This last strategy is one that can be seen as very competitive. The way this works is by attaching a cookie based code to the browser of the person that is visiting your website. Once the code is attached and the person goes to another website, the code will make it so your website is still advertised. It doesn’t matter if they go to a website that has nothing to do with your content because as long as their browser has that code then your website will be advertised. This will help keep your website and products fresh in their minds.

With these 6 hacks, you should be able to get a good start on marketing and promoting your website. One thing to make sure of is that you keep at these strategies and don’t give up. You probably won’t have a ton of visitors at first but if you keep trying and using these hacks then your customer base and the number of purchases should steadily rise!
