Apple Refreshes Apple Macbook Pro With Retina Display

macbook pro

Summary:

The Apple Macbook Pro is a premium laptop with top of the line specifications and a gloriously beautiful Retina display. The Macbook pro was designed in three screen sizes: 13 inches, 15 inch and 17 inch. The 17 inch model may have been retired and the 15 inch model may be on its way out. Still, however, Macbooks are in a class apart. The Macbook pros are characterized by an extremely slim design and superb display.

What is Refreshed:

The Macbook pro underwent a recent CPU upgrade to Intel, giving significantly better battery life. Both models have an aluminum enclosure. The specs are as under:

If you want a compact Macbook Pro, go for the 13 inch model. This has an all aluminum body and classy looks, putting it in a different class altogether. The stylish laptop is powered by a 2.4 GHz dual core Intel i5 processor, 8 GB or 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM and has 128 GB or 256 GB onboard storage. If performance is one reason why people prefer the classy Apple laptops, another reason is the Retina display on these models. Whereas other laptops offer a measly resolution of 1360×768, this super duper laptop has an unbelievable resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels at 227 ppi. What does this mean? Look at a photograph and you discover smooth gradations of tones, lively bursts of vivid color and true lifelike depiction. If you think the screen is small, there is no need to worry. You can use the thunderbolt digital video output ports to view on large screens. The laptop has DVI adapter, VGA adapter and others to fulfill your wish.

If you think storage on the laptop is rather low in today’s terms, you always have access to extra iCloud storage. Uploading files is easy as clicking or tapping and you can always access these from anywhere, anytime.

The camera is only 720p but then you won’t be using it for high quality photos or video. Connect it to the internet and you will be surprised at the clear video you can get using FaceTime. It is more than adequate.

That brings us to the keyboard and trackpad. This is one area where you are thankful you chose an Apple over the others. It has options on 78 US keys or 101 keys. You will like the way the keyboard automatically lights up through the back lighting. Keys are tactile, have a solid feel and you can type for hours without fatigue.  The trackpad is a marvel of engineering. Apart from the usual scrolling and tapping, it has functions similar to what you would find on a Smartphone. You can pinch, swipe, three finger swipe, double tap, drag and rotate. Amazing.

The 13 inch model has a 71.8 watt-hour lithium polymer battery. You can surf the net for 9 hours or play a video for 9 hours.

The icing on the cake is the OS. You will find the latest OS Maverick simply brilliant. The OS comes with a plethora of features such as AirDrop, Dictation, gatekeeper, Facebook, Twitter, iCloud, AirDrop, Safari power saver, App Nap and others.

The 13 inch Macbook with 128 GB and 4 GB RAM costs Rs. 114900 while the model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs Rs. 134900. Not cheap by any means but then you are paying for out of the world features and looks.

The Apple Macbook Pro 15 inch model comes in two variants. One has 2 GHz quad core intel i7 processor, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and 256 GB storage priced at Rs. 149900. Another one has 2.6 GHz i7 processor, 16 GB DDR3 RAM and 512 GB storage, land is priced at Rs. 199900. Regardless of the processor and RAM combination, you will love the larger 15.4 inch diagonal IPS screen capable of 2880×1800 resolution, intelligently scaled to appropriate resolution through the software so that the image fits the screen and you do not have to fiddle with controls. It shares the same keyboard and operating system with the 13 inch Macbook Pro but has a more impressive presence with the same aluminum shell and super slim looks. Carry it with pride and distinction.
