Known for its interactive games, the Wii-U has been a popular console among a portion of gamers over the past year. There is a wide variety of games available to play and some of them are exclusive to Nintendo. Since you can play everything from Angry Birds to Call of Duty to Mario Kart it can be hard to choose which games to spend your money on. Lucky for you I have made a list of the top 3 Wii-U games to help you make a decision of what to buy this upcoming holiday season.
1) Pikmin 3
Nintendo has been known for its abundance of party games and Pikmin is one of the most fun party games out there. Pikmin 3 is a game of survival. You have to use the colorful little ‘Pikmin’ to your advantage to survive and explore 5 different mast environments. This game really shows the jump that Nintendo was able to make to high definition games. You may not use the gamepad too much but this game is by far one of the most fun games available for the Wii-U.
2) Call of Duty: Ghosts
Every November gamers around the world anticipate the release of a new game in the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty: Ghosts is the most recent release and is hands down the most enjoyable title in the series available for Wii-U so far.
The graphics are arguably better than the graphics on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. One of the coolest things about this game (on Wii-U) is when you play two player (locally), you can have one person play on the TV and the other person can play on the Gamepad. It is similar to previous titles but has a unique feel and has a very smooth frame rate. If you are looking for a first person shooter for your Wii-U; this is the one.
3) New Super Mario Bros. U
Mario has been a huge part of Nintendo games for just about as long as they have been in business. This newest game in the Super Mario Bros. series is the most challenging of all of the games out so far. The graphics are very high quality and the game runs very smooth. Although it is mainly a point A to point B game it is loads of fun. It is not too different from the old 2D Mario games and that is what makes it so great. This is a fun game to play alone or with friends. New Super Mario Bros. U is definitely a must have.
