Why Should Your WordPress Site Be Designed Using Twitter Bootstrap?

twitter bootstrap

Twitter Bootstrap is an immensely popular design tool for developers of web applications. It also makes themes, which is why it’s no surprise to see a lot of people using it for their WordPress sites. The majority of websites on the Internet are built using a WordPress framework. If you’ve yet to be convinced about the benefits of Bootstrap for your WordPress site, take a look at these benefits.

Responsive Web Design

Forty per cent of all web traffic comes from a mobile device. This is expected to continue to rise in the next few years. Any website which wants to succeed must be able to alter its size automatically, depending on the screen size of the device. Bootstrap has a number of features to make your WordPress theme responsive. It’€™s an easy way to make your site more accessible.

Benefit from Javascript

WordPress has its own set of handy plugins, but Bootstrap also contains its own plugins; 13 to be exact. These plugins include dropdown bars, alerts, tooltips, and accordions. It’€™s always worth using Bootstrap to add these plugins to your theme. This way you can benefit from both WordPress and Javascript plugins.

CSS Styling

One area where WordPress comes up short is in the CSS styling options. You can delve into the backend of your site and start messing around with custom themes, but this isn’t for the novice. Bootstrap comes with its fair share of CSS styling options. All you need to do is click a button and it will implement your changes automatically.

The various CSS styling options include tables, forms, images, icons, buttons, and different sorts of typography. Your current WordPress theme will not include even a fraction of these base styles.

Customization Options

Twitter Bootstrap is an opensource piece of kit which can be changed by the community which uses it. Customization is made easy with Bootstrap as everything you need appears on a single page. All you have to do is click a few boxes and it will add or remove certain aspects to suit your needs.

New features are constantly being added to Bootstrap. The open source nature of this software makes sure there are always new things being added. You can make sure your site keeps up with current trends by implementing Bootstrap into your WordPress operation.

Full Support

The best part about Bootstrap themes is you get full support and a large base of knowledge, similar to what WordPress has. The community is always finding bugs and notifying the relevant people of them. Unlike other services similar to Bootstrap, you won’t have to wait for an update for a few months to have your issue addressed. Since there’€™s no concern for large profits, everything tends to move much faster.

Rachel is a web developer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She regularly uses Bootstrap themes to help her clients improve their websites. She believes a good theme leaves a lasting first impression and reduces web bounce rates.

Amazing tutorial. Cleared up a lot of confusion that I had about twitter bootstrap. Parts of bootstrap are still difficult for me to understand, but this will definitely be really useful as I start to become more familiar with it.It’s really great.
