Industry-leading technology firms Egnyte and Attachments.me have partnered up in order to combine the benefits of each business together. As part of the partnership, the companies have recently announced an app which will be released on iPhone.
The two companies will work together to enable customers to send files directly from Gmail to their Egnyte cloud account, whilst creating an automatic file system wherein certain emails can be sent automatically to corresponding Egnyte files.
The app, which was recently announced in wake of Apple’s latest iPhone conferences, will allow users to send multiple emails with several attachments from various files and cloud systems with ease and simplicity.
The future of file sharing
CEO of Egnyte, Vineet Jain, has recently said of the collaboration: “Email is the most widely used collaboration application in the enterprise, but it falls short when files are introduced to the mix.
“Egnyte’s ability to access files from on-premise and cloud storage, computers and Google Drive combined with Attachment.me’s ability to share those files through Gmail enables enterprise employees to once again leverage email as a simple yet powerful collaboration tool.”

A lifetime of email
The collaboration comes at a great time, especially when the most recent Harvard Business Report review has revealed the average worker will spend 111 days per years on email. In addition, it has been found 76% of workers use email as their main method of sharing documents, and spend around two minutes finding files in emails.
