SpeakToit Assistant App Now Available for Windows 8 & Windows Phone 8

It can do a number of tasks for you. Apple’s Siri has been the most helpful virtual assistant until programs like Speaktoit became available. Speaktoit was the most used virtual assistant with over six million users of Android devices. The company has now decided to spread their branches to the other markets by launching Speaktoit for Windows 8 devices andWindows Phone 8. The interface is quite simple and you can make the customizations you need to keep it to your taste. If you don’t have anything for her/him, you can just ask it to tell you a joke or just engage in a casual chit-chat. It will be able to give you answers for almost anything you ask it.

The virtual assistant greets you with a witty message, which is different every time you launch the app. The virtual assistant is called Sam and she can answer you for any question you ask her. It can do various tasks for you such as map-searching, updating your status on social networks, translating text, converting a value into different units, reading news, setting the alarm, reading out reminders, playing music, adjusting the settings of the music player, and the list goes on and on. It indeed seems to be smarter than Siri. Hard to accept, but this is the fact. You’ll see the difference when you start using this on your smartdevice.

The interface is simple and fluid, letting you learn how to make it work for you easily. The virtual assistant appears on the left and the buttons appear on the right. There are just four buttons and by using them you can control the program and get the work done. Tapping on the keyboard button lets you enter keyboard commands. It will be highly helpful until you get used to interacting hands-free with Speaktoit. To start giving commands, just tap on the mic button and speak out your command to it. It will also interact with you by giving you answers and sometimes pulling up results from the internet. You won’t feel stuck because it has a neatly organized help center.

The bulb button will display useful tips whenever necessary to help you use the program with ease. You will almost feel like you’re in a tutorial because the tips are very helpful in assisting you to dictate what you want Sam to do. Speaktoit also integrates well with other services such as Evernote, Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter, Wikipedia, TripAdvisor, and so on. Therefore, you can easily do most of your tasks without any difficulty. Your commands are also displayed in a conversation view and hence you will have no problem referring back to what tasks you’ve done and are yet to be done.

It is available for free for both Android and Windows. However, for the Windows version, you will have to use the paid version in order to use certain features and other novelty options. If you are looking forward to having an interesting time with your phone, Sam could be the answer.

Check out the paid version because it gives you the privilege of using all the features. You will never regret having employed Sam as your personal assistant.
