3 Crazy Fan Theories About Cartoons

In all walks of life there are individuals who come up with surprising theories regarding certain incidents. This ranges from worldwide catastrophes, such as 9/11, to more light hearted theories, such as those based on different shows and Cartoon Network games. These theories are always interesting to hear about whether you agree with them or not. Thus, read on to discover some insane fan theories about kids’ cartoons. You may actually find that you agree with a couple.

  1. Ed, Edd and Eddy aren’t alive

Ed, Edd and Eddy is popular on Cartoon Network. In fact, it is so popular that there has been Cartoon Network games made based on the show. For those who are unaware the show basically follows three boys as they come up with different plots in order to try and purchase their favourite candy; a jawbreaker. Now, the ‘insane’ theory regarding this program is that the three characters are actually dead. Sounds a bit crazy, right? So why do people believe this to be the case? Well, there is no solid proof, apart from the fact that the characters don’t exactly look like humans. Moreover, the colour of their skin makes them look slightly unwell. Perhaps this is the reason why theorists believe all of the characters are dead and the show is based in purgatory.

  1. The Genie in Aladdin has a double role

Aladdin is an all time classic when it comes to Disney cartoons. If you or your children are yet to watch it then it is a must-see and definitely a film all of the family can enjoy. It is based around all things magical and hopeful, and that is the reason most people fall in love with it. The Genie in the film plays a prominent role and is a well liked character. However, many individuals believe that the genie is actually the merchant from the very opening of the scene. In film it is not that unusual for someone to play two roles, yet it is when you are talking about a cartoon film. So, why do people deem this to be the case? It might have something to do with the fact that both characters are played by Robin Williams. Oh, and the odd similarity that they both have four fingers as well.

  1. Nuclear testing is the basis of SpongeBob SquarePants

SpongeBob SquarePants is probably the most popular cartoon show of the modern day. It has literally taken the world of children’s television by storm. The concept of the show is rather random; following a Sponge who lives under the sea in a giant pineapple. And, the crazy theory surrounding this show couldn’t be more random either. Apparently, one individual has come to the conclusion that the concept of the show really revolves around nuclear testing. The individual believes that Bikini Bottom has been hit by atomic bombs and that the result is crazy characters that have been affected by the radiation of the bombs. So, that is why they all look a bit strange and act rather stupid…

These three theories may sound completely crazy to most, yet there are individuals who are firm believers in the opinions being stated. Are you one of those individuals? Either way, no one can deny that they are certainly interesting concepts.

I can’t believe my favourite cartoon series are dying slowly. I will say “old is gold”.
