4 Important Tips When Choosing A Bluetooth Headset

Bluetooth is the most common way to connect two devices today. You can connect 2 phones, a phone and computer, even your phone and headset. The best and the easiest way to talk on the phone is over a headset. To make it even better, nowadays these headsets are connected wirelessly, with Bluetooth. When you start to use a Bluetooth headset, you will never go back to the cable ones. But, to choose the right headset for you, you must know what to check on them.

Here are some guidelines you must consider when buying the best headset for you:

1. Comfort

This is a personal choice, whether you like the ones with ear-bud in your ears or on your ears. The ones that are in your ear are better for sound filtering without and technical feature, but they might be uncomfortable for you. There are also different ear and head sizes, so if you find some headset extremely comfortable that doesn’t mean your friend will like it as well.

2. Mono VS Stereo

There are two kinds of headset, mono and stereo. Mono headsets are those that cover 1 of your ears, left or right and stereo cover both of your ears. Stereo headset is better for listening to music due to the stereo surrounding system. Mono headsets are more for phone calls and stereo are both for music and phone calls.

3. Call quality

The most important thing you must consider is call quality. It is very important that you can hear your caller no matter where you are, without any background noises. You mustn’t forget about the other side. Check if your headset has noise cancellation, and that is something that can help your caller to hear you loud and clear no matter where you are.

4. Battery life

A normal headset’s battery life is about 3,4 hours of talk time and day/two on standby. There are some batteries that can last up to 10 hours of talk time, but these are more expensive. You must know, when you use a Bluetooth headset, battery on your phone will last less.

Remember there is no best product, there is only one that is probably better than another.

As a newbie, I started with a cheaper set, and then quickly moved up to the middle of the road. I found that is was a large change in quality and adequate for my needs.

Bluetooth headsets can never be as small or as light as wired headsets, simply because it needs to include the battery and extra functions. This extra size will impact how the headset mounts on or around your ears.

    Comfort

There seems to be two main styles of headsets for Bluetooth. Some are held into place with a loop around the ear. These styles are normally more comfortable, although they may be less secure. The others are held in place by being jammed into your ear – and usually prove to be less comfortable.

    Factors to consider

    Cost

The cost is an obvious issue, something that you really need to think about.

    Ergonomics

1.Check to see if the device is easy to quickly and conveniently put on your ear then take it off again.

2.Are the control buttons on the headset easy to use?

3.The headset should be comfortable to wear for long phone calls.

4.Can you use it with a pair of glasses?

5.Check to see if you can wear it with either ear.

6.When you aren’t wearing it, you’ll need to se how you would carry it with you.

7.The weight is important as well, as you don’t want something that has the risk of falling off.

In my opinion battery life and noise suspension are 2 most important things to look for while choosing a bluetooth headset
