The revolution in home security systems can seem incredibly convenient considering today’s technology. And judging by how many security companies are embracing more and more internet and cellular-based services, it is obviously hugely successful. You may not have a home security system yourself, or you may have one of the old-fashioned kind – alarm, sensors, you punch a code on the keypad and that’s it. There once burglaries enter to our house and get our jewelry, I thought that our “home security” is just enough but is not.
I do agree with you Amy that vector security and hacking prevention would be the primary concern of the next generation.

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. It just sucks when your alarm did not work when the time that you need it most (or when you are being rob at the moment). Perhaps I’m going to check out Jack’s recommendation.

Yeah mobile apps for security are works well! I itself use such apps. I connected the wireless video cameras to my phone using a app and now i can keep eye on my family members even when i am not at home.

I have see one system that comes stock with a motion sensor and window and door sensors. They also have video camera upgrade. I think the video camera is worth it. This way you can see why alarm went off decide if you need to call police. some places started chargeing people for false alarms so this makes alot of sense to be able to see video of your home.

A friend of mine who handles certain aspects of security and operations of his company was recently discussing with me on the increasing importance of mobile apps to integrate in various security systems. It was great to know that there are mobile apps to notify customers of unusual incidents when they use security systems. They even have a mobile app that responds even to a portable vehicle barrier. It was interesting to learn such, and nowadays, mobile technology has extended its reach beyond what we used to imagine.

I work with a home theater and whole house remote control company. So I can believe these apps are here and will improve. I’m sure these apps have some holes that are hackable and always will be. I agree that protecting your home internet network will be key going forward.

A home security app can be a great way to monitor your home, garage, and other exterior areas of your home. Prices continue to come down as technology advances, so it might be worth looking into one. It can sure beat paying a high monthly fee and still not get the features that a security app can provide.
