Great Gadgets That Can Help The Environment

More and more people are starting to show a genuine interest in helping out the environment and because of this, they have changed their shopping habits and made it a point to opt for more energy-efficient and green appliances. Fortunately, there are quite a few eco-friendly gadgets available in today’s market that aren’t just creative, but are very safe for Mother Earth, as well. Here are some of the best ones.

LED Lightbulbs

While CFL lightbulbs were very popular green alternatives to regular lightbulbs a couple of years ago, LED lightbulbs have started to replace them in the market nowadays. Not only are LED lightbulbs more energy-efficient than CFL lightbulbs, but they only use up half of the energy that CFL lightbulbs need, as well. Plus, LED lightbulbs are eco-friendlier overall because they don’t use any mercury whatsoever and only emit a very small amount of carbon dioxide.

Solar Backpacks

Although solar backpacks might sound a little unfashionable, they are actually very stylish, so you won’t be embarrassed to carry one around with you wherever you go. They even come in different designs and colors to suit anybody’s personal preferences and style. These backpacks are very light and compact, too. Plus, they are completely waterproof and built to withstand outdoor conditions, so you can take them with you whenever you go hiking or camping.

Solar Chargers

If you want an environmentally friendly way to charge your tech gadgets like mobile phones, then you can now use the sun’s power to do so. That’s right. Instead of hooking up cables to an electrical outlet adapter or to a computer, you can use solar panels to generate watts that can charge your tech gadgets. All you have to do is make sure that your solar charger adapter or connector can be used with your gadgets.

USB Batteries

Alkaline batteries tend to be very harmful to Mother Earth, so you might want to start using rechargeable batteries on your tech gadgets instead. Conversely, you can also use USB batteries by incorporating a charger that is built-in and can be powered through a USB current.

Water-Powered Clock

In a nutshell, a water-powered clock runs on nothing but salt and water. Since it doesn’t need any batteries, it is completely safe for the planet. Plus, it is very stylish, and even comes in different designs and colors to fit anybody’s preferences and personal style.

Now, it is true that technology has done wonders in making people’s lives easier. However, people have used technology so much that the environment has suffered for it for years now. Fortunately, there are creative and eco-friendly gadgets in today’s market that can help protect the environment. All you have to do is start following the trends and help out, too.

I like the idea of the water powered clock. Do you have to replace the salt water ever?

Led light is already growing in popularity. It used to have just one big disadvantage and that’s the warmth of the light. (not the actual heat). But there are already led lights that look almost as alive as the old-fashioned lightbulb. Too bad they are still a bit expensive.
Eventhough they will earn their money back because of their much longer life-span, it is the initial investment that keeps people from buying them.

Luckily the government starts to use them more and more. Like streetlights with leds. Leds in government buildings etc.

I’ve seen led light bulbs on the mall use in Christmas light they are really amazing. The light are brighter that the old ones plus maintenance and replacement in bulb are very minimal compared to the old types of Christmas lights.

Have just fitted some LED spotlights in the kitchen. It’s a bit of a minefield at the moment trying to pick the right ones though, cheaper ones tend to be too dim so do your research!
