REVIEW: Free Traffic System

free traffic systemHave you ever wondered how to get free content for your Website or blog especially when you are struggling to keep up with posting articles regularly? There is a popular saying the “content is King” when it comes to increasing Web traffic and getting the coveted visitors to your Website. While there are many sites that boast of offering free content and unlimited one-way links to Webmasters, Free Traffic System stands out for its size and unique affiliate rewards program.

Features of the Free Traffic System

The Free Traffic System offers free or professional membership registration from all kind of Website authors including affiliates, bloggers and Internet marketers, although some limitations exist depending on your type of affiliation. Writers can often choose where to submit their (spinned) articles from a large pool of Websites depending on their preferred niche. This is mostly done so as to build several one-way backlinks for their Websites while publishers can add their blogs or sites to the system in order to publish free articles through an automated system.

Disadvantages of the Free Traffic System

In spite of all the seemingly positive features described above, there are certain issues that stand out which anyone who intends to make use  of the Free Traffic System must consider. Some of these concerns are listed below.

  1. Poor Quality Content: For those publishers who worry about the quality of content on their Website, Free Traffic System may not be the way to go. This is because it appears that a lot of writers are too concerned about the potential number of back-links they will receive their articles to bother about quality.
  2. Irrelevant Content: The chances of having irrelevant content on your blog increases when you use free-content systems. Although this particular system has been designed in such a way that articles are distributed through special niche filters,  some authors write ambiguous articles that may find their way through these filters.
  3. Poor Grammar: Poor grammar is almost inevitable in free content mechanisms due to the use of article spinning methods. Article spinning is a way of disguising duplicate content from search engines by replacing elements in an article with similar alternatives. Since every submitted article on the Free Traffic System is spinned, it often results in articles littered with a few meaningless sentences or paragraphs in patches.
  4. Bad Formatting: The Free Traffic System will not follow your presentation structure (if you have one) and the articles do not have images. You will therefore observe that the style of writing or presentation format used in a published post could be totally different from what you desire.
  5. Repeated Content: This is the most embarrassing of all the points listed above as far as I am concerned. There are cases where the same article is posted twice or more. Such occurrence could  put off regular visitors or readers from your Website.

VERDICT

While many find the Free Traffic System as a useful source of backlinks (Authors) and free content (Publishers), I would not recommend it for bloggers who have very high standards. While it may take some time to be ranked high by search engines, you will eventually get there by maintaining your quality. However, if you must use free-content sites, be ready for the time-consuming task of reading and editing every single article before or after they are published. Yes, after they are published, because most free-content sites make use of automated systems that publish articles on your site without first submitting them for review.

Talking Point

Would you recommend using a free content system/generator?

Free or cheap ones are not the best SEO or traffic resources, however, some services can go crazy charging $1000 per month, which most small bloggers or business can not afford it. Catch 22 situation. Which one do you recommend?

I would have to say that “Good” content is king! Those article re-writers are a terrible way to increase traffic. I would definitely consider them “Black Hat” and are especially bad because the software is not that good yet. Like you said, the articles have grammar and formatting issues.

I am actually planning on writing an article about “Black Hat” vs “White Hat” SEO. I know people from both sides of the spectrum and the funny thing is black hat seo can be just as time consuming as white hat so what exactly is the point?

Irrelevant content is another one, especially when it’s blatant.

To answer the question, I would not recommend a free traffic system unless it was proven to be successful with quality content.

I’ve been experimenting with the Free Traffic System for a couple of weeks, spinning the articles by hand so that they read naturally. It has only been two weeks so it’s still too early to say for sure, but so far there have been few results. I think a lot of the blogs in the system are de-indexed or not spidered regularly because when I search for my text, it’s nowhere to be found. A couple of blogs used my articles with the links removed which was totally annoying.

One thing I really like about FTS is that it has two levels of human review — the FTS editors and the blog owners. That puts it a bit ahead of some other such systems.

Hoping for results, but we shall see. I’ll stop back in a couple weeks and let you know how it went.

It really does depend on the overall aim of your cinema sites. Have you thought of search engine optimisation. Search engines are potentially a great source of traffic for any Website.

Actually for intial bloggers going for the traffic exchange could really make the blog flooded with traffic.. but not quality traffic. As only the organic sources can so targetted and they do be loyal readers.. as for as known to me

Well, at the moment I don’t think the ‘spinning’ technology is perfect yet therefore any website that uses the same technology would end up facing similar issues.

    Hi,

This is an extremely interesting subject, and I have no doubt that all will have there own personal viewpoint….however as with everything else in life, it requires a balanced approach…I feel that there are times when automating certain types of content is fine. Couple it up with unique relevancy and you can have the best of both worlds. Always remember that quality research, quality information, quality products produce quality results….even if it seems to take a lot longer.
A great friend of mine once said to me…..It’s a marathon not a sprint.

    Onward and Upward
All the very best in your endeavours

I think one of the major problems with using spinners is actually finding one that does what it says in a simple but yet effective manner.

I hate all the crappy spun content that gets spread all over the internet. Why is everyone so afraid of just creating quality content. We all say “content is king” and then turn around and blast spun articles, build auto-blogs. Make something you can actually be proud of!

How can anyone say they can spot spun content a mile away? There’s no way to know that. If it’s crappy, then you can maybe say it’s spun. But if it’s spun and high quality, you would never know it. I spend a lot of time proofreading my spun content, and in the end you can’t tell, because I make sure it’s grammatically correct and that it flows very naturally. Try to tell me if this comment was spun or not.

  24. David

Mike, I would say your comment is not spun.

  25. Mike

    April 4, 2011 at 1:26 am

David, I would say that your comment is spun as much as mine, because to me it sounds more natural to say “I think” than “I would say”. Only a machine would talk like that. Actually I’m just joking with you.

If I did my math correctly the following has 196,608 variations. Plug it into the free text spinner: http://demo.dmwtechnologies.com/PHP/OnlineTextSpinner/. Keep hitting the button two hundred thousand times, and if you find one that doesn’t sound like an American shooting the gas, let me know.

{Do you think you that you|How can anyone say they} {can|could} {spot|recognize} {content that’s been spun|spun content} {a mile away|at a glance}? {There isn’t any|There’s no} way {to|that you could} know {that|that for sure}. If {it’s crappy|it reads like crap}, then you {could probably|can maybe} {conclude|say} it’s {been spun|spun}. {However|But} if it’s spun and {high quality|reads perfectly}, you {would never|wouldn’t ever|would have no way to} know {that|it}. Interesting point Mike. You seem to take very good care when creating spun content however, unfortunately the same cannot be said for everyone who uses the system. Perhaps, it all depends on the application of it.

    April 8, 2011 at 1:36 am

Mike, I tried the spinner you suggested and either my prose was too perfect to be spun 😉 or I was doing something wrong.

I put some text into it hit the spin button but I couldn’t see any differences at all. What was I doing wrong?

I didn’t get any results like you have posted here.

I tried another spinner and the results were embarrassingly bad.

Admin, do you have any good experiences with spinning? I am not sure I even want to think much about doing it, but then perhaps there is some value in it.

    • Mike

      April 17, 2011 at 3:50 am

      David,

I think we’re not understanding each other. The spinner I suggested simply spins. It doesn’t do very well at providing fresh content. I just copied what I posted (my weird content with the curly braces) into the text field of the form (not the article title), and I clicked on “spin article”. If you look below, you will see the “article” section, which shows a spun version of the article.

I believe there is a great deal of misunderstanding on this subject. Spinning articles doesn’t hardly require any technology at all. My spun comment that I posted above was the product of imagination and a text editor. We’ve had text editors for ages – it’s nothing new.

Consider the sentence: “I spent my last dime paying for bus fare.” I don’t need any technology to spin that sentence. The first thing I see is an expression that can’t be easily rephrased by simply exchanging synonyms, so I have to swap it with another expression. Instead of saying “my last dime”, I can say “everything I had”. I didn’t use any special technology for that — just my imagination, and with a text editor I can write “I spent {my last dime|everything I had} paying for bus fare.”

The spinner software simply grabs everything in the curly braces and randomly ouputs one of them. Whether it selects the first or the second, it doesn’t matter. Both sound perfectly natural.

Poor spun content is just bad writing — people who don’t know how to speak right or just don’t care. Good spun content is how smart people can skillfully multiply their efforts to provide many readers with quality content.

    April 17, 2011 at 11:08 am

Thanks, Mike for clearing that up. I didn’t prepare the text properly. I didn’t use the divider and the curly brackets with alternatives.

Using free traffic system may possibly help you in building up your ranking in search engines. However, I really don’t think your site and ultimately, your business will benefit from this in the long run. It all boils down to content – good content. You really don’t want to associate your business or your site with poor content. There are lots of ways, good ways, in ranking high in search engines. This may be one of them, but again, this might just backfire as you go along.

SEO takes so much time, it would be better if the search engines could find a better way of ranking websites.

I think this kind of free traffic will not help to achieve the goals. it will only increase the number of visitors.
