Desktop Computer, Laptop, Or Tablet: Which One Should You Buy?

Online shopping concept.

Essentially, when it comes to desktop computers, laptops and tablets, we’re discussing the past, present and potential future. However, that being said, the laptop is still the ideal electronic gadget to invest in thanks to its great balance between design, performance and mobility and should be the considered investment if you’re looking for something with all the works.

Desktop Computers

These traditional types of computer aren’t as mobile as others and don’t feature upgraded packages but they are a lot easier to perform maintenance on, allowing users to open them up and add extra hardware. The extra space means they’re more powerful than the other computers here too as they have the room for more components, meaning they’re ideal for video editing and using applications that require a great deal of software.

That being said, they are large and not very portable and the battery life is not particularly impressive. Those who need to be on the move whilst using a computer will not find this helpful and the tangle of wires underneath the table can cause problems too.

Tablets

Tablets are small and portable, ideal for travelling and using the computer on-the-go, especially as they can do all the tasks a regular computer can do. Browsing the web, writing emails, writing documents, even video-editing are all possible with the tablets nowadays and, unlike desktops, the battery life is very impressive. Of course, they’re not as powerful as their computer rivals and everything you do have will be a watered-down version of what you’d get on a larger computer. Those wishing to write out long essays and emails will find it unusually difficult on the touch-screen as well, prompting the use for something else.

Laptops

These computers offer the same high-power performance as the desktop computers and are as portable and as mobile as a tablet, bringing the best of both worlds into one machine. Though, this being said, it may be a while before the two physically combine, forming one super machine.

Computers are available at all prices as well as being value and high-end powerful machines, offering a range of different spectrum from students to home-makers. Wi-Fi and battery life are both impressive aspects that become built into the machines with ease and, whilst remaining mobile, the display is significantly larger, adding a lot of productivity alongside the connected keyboard console.

I would go with laptop as it offers the same power performance as the desktop computers and are as portable and as mobile as a tablet PC which means it is coming up with the best performance of Desktop PC and best mobility of Tablet PC. If we select any of the desktop PC or Tablet PC, we will be left with either high performance or portability and mobility. So my take would be to go with laptop.

A laptop gives you the best of both worlds- portability and productivity. If you really must choose one device, a laptop is always the way to go.
