Windows Phone 8X Versus iPhone 5

HTC-Windows-Phone-8X-vs-Apple-iPhone-5-002xToday, you must be well-attuned when choosing the right mobile device for your personal or business usage. Tech giants and smartphone manufacturers are bringing newer phones in such a frequent manner, which sometimes may make you confused when choosing the perfect option for daily use. You might have seen how the dominance of iOS has put under tough competition with other mighty mobile OS like Android, Symbian and Windows mobile OS. Many iPhone users have switched to smart phone from other brands with different OS, and vice versa. The usability, functionalities, features and capacity are main issues, which you need to consider before you buy and get your own smart phone.

iPhone 5 is the latest release from Apple at almost the same time when another giant smart phone manufacturer, HTC, brought the intelligent HTC Windows Phone 8X onto the marketplace. If you don’t know which one should be yours, then you must read the following comparisons to make the right decision.

Capability Comparison

Both iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8X come with dual core processors inside, but with a slight difference in the processing speed. 1.5 GHz processing speed of Windows Phone 8X will keep it ahead of iPhone 5, as this new iPhone has 1 GHz processing speed. 1 GB of RAM inside each of these smart phones make no comparative differences between those two devices. Apple is continuing iPhone 5 with 3 different internal storage capacity (16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB) as like as the previous release of iPhones, whereas Windows Phone 8X comes only with 16 GB storage capacity.

Display and Dimension

4.3 inch display of Windows Phone 8x will again keep this smart phone 0.3 inches ahead from iPhone 5, which comes with 4.0 inch display. But, iPhone 5 will get much priority over Windows Phone 8X, as 640 X 1136 pixel of iPhone is higher than 720 X 1280 pixel of Windows Phone 8X. You may find iPhone 5 more light-weight than Windows Phone 8X, as iPhone 5 comes with 112 g of weight and Windows Phone 8X comes with 130 g. Either device, depending on your mobile gaming choices, are perfect for viewing information provided by Poker sites which compares 10 of the finest online gaming locations.  Both of these smart phones are handy, even though the height, width and thinness of Windows Phone 8X is a little higher than iPhone 5.

Audio, Video, Camera and Other Features

Audio functionalities of both iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8X are almost same, except Windows Phone 8X has ‘Beats audio sound enhancement’ as its built-in audio feature. Both iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8X comes with same video performance, in terms of frame speed and resolution which is 30 frames per second with 1080 pixel. But, the LED video light, Geo tagging and video stabilization of iPhone 5 will let you have much better video experience than Windows Phone 8X, which have only continuous autofocus and video light feature.

You will not find even a slightest difference in the configuration of front camera in both iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8X. Both the smart phones come with 8MP camera resolution with LED flash and autofocus feature. 2.1 MP resolution for secondary camera of Windows Phone 8X makes it much better of a choice than iPhone 5, which has only 1.2 MP resolution for its secondary camera. Both the smart phones comes with similar data connectivity feature, but built in NFC feature of Windows Phone 8X is a great plus which is not available in iPhone 5.

The Clear Winner…

Are you still confused to select the right one between iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8X? iPhone 5 should be your first choice if you expect to experience a high resolution display and looking for a thin and slim smart phone. Otherwise, if you are not a regular Apple consumer and blindly loyal to this brand, then Windows Phone 8X could be your right choice which comes with NFC feature and higher resolution secondary camera than iPhone 5. Option to choose from different storage capacity will also give you enough reasons to buy iPhone 5.

For me, the iphone is still a winner, when it’s about the display graphics or the stability and safety of the operating system, there is no competition for the iphone. ALthough I could picture myself that for some people, who are depending on the windows environment will choose the windows phone because of the better integration and syncronization. I use OSX on all my devices, so an iphone will be the best choice for me. By the way, I think that the new line of windows phones (for example the new Nokias) seems to be really nice, I’m looking forward to see the new inventions.

I know I am behind the times, but still use my phone to make calls. No Apps, no fancy screens, just making phone calls. My nieces think I am loopy, but, it works for me.

Unfortunately, I have only experience with windows system!. Must say it is some years since I last had bought me an HTC diamond! At that time Windows in. My experienced was poor rather than Apple. Experienced several times that my HTC went down or just stalled for several minutes

I’ll go for iPhone 5 for its slim design, iOS, better video experience & the best apps available in the market for any operating system. Though Windows Phone 8X is also having a innovative design but it still has a long way to go to compete with iPhone & its iOS apps. BDW nice comparison Greg.

I know so many people with I phone 5s or the new Samsung but of all the people who have bought a new smart phone lately I do not know anyone who has bought a windows 8 phone. So I wish them luck with the sales figures.
