How To Root An Android Device Without Using A PC

We all know that there are lot many ways present in the market to root out an Android Mobile Phone. But you can find one thing common between them all is that you need to make use of PC to do it. You will rarely find any way to root an Android device using another android device, mobile phone or tablet. But in this article, we will show you a method by which you can do it with ease.

What Is Mobile Phone Rooting or Android Rooting?

Rooting is a Process which is done with the aim of attaining full privilege or control of  an operating system, in this   case the Android OS.  The main reason behind rooting is to overcome the limitations imposed on the device either by the Carriers or the device manufacturers. Removing limitations result in running many apps in administrator mode with full permissions and privileges including accessing the  kernel level control of a mobile device.

How To Root An Android Device Without A PC

Now let’s get back to the procedure of rooting an Android device with another Android device.

What You Need :

  • Any previously Rooted Android mobile phone or tablet which can be used to root the target Android mobile.
  • The target Android Device should be powered by Android OS.
  • OTG USB cable for establishing connection.
  • A one-click rooting script for the Android Device which you are going to root.

After you have collected all the above, it’s time to start the process of rooting of your Android device using another Android device.

Next Steps:

Step 1 :

Download the One-Click Rooting script in the already Rooted android device.

Step 2 : 

Use the OTG USB Cable to establish connection between Rooted android device and the Android device to be rooted.

Step 3 :

Now Download and Install Android App named Root Transmission on the previously rooted android device. You can find the app in the Google Android Play store.

Step 4 :         

This is the final step.  Run the Root transmission app from the Rooted Android Device. Click on the Run button in Root Transmission Wizard. That’s it, the Rooting process has started and your target mobile get Rooted soon. While the process is on the go, you can monitor what’s actually going on in the monitor wizard of the Root Transmission App as shown in the image below.

Compatibility Issue and Warnings :

The above technique works only when you are trying to Root a device which can be rooted via ADB. However,  the good thing to note here is that almost all Android devices support rooting via ADB except for a few. Furthermore, Android devices which depend upon third party software’s like Odin while rooting cannot be rooted via this technique.

    In rooting your Android smart phone there’s a risk on it, it may ruin your phone and turn into a useless brick. Also it will break the warranty on of your phone.
