Business and Technology: Get With It Or Be Left Behind

Technology is a givenThere’s no doubt that technology helps businesses to increase revenue. That said, if you’re a business owner who isn’t up to date on the latest in technology, your business is undoubtedly losing out. The truth is, technology has become so intertwined with the business world today that it’s virtually impossible to compete without it. Below are five important technologies that your business needs to take advantage of:

1. Website

Without question, having a professional, functioning website for your business is the absolute best way to reach consumers worldwide as technology is the driving force behind any company’s ability to sell products and services in high volume. Likewise, www.qualitytech.com advises its visitors with regard to running their website on a reliable server allowing potential customers to search and make purchases on the site in real time 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world which requires a data center provider that can accommodate growth. In doing so, this essentially means that you can have unlimited selling power, and most importantly, unlimited revenue.

2. Social Media

Along with a website on a reliable server, it is a must that your business should take advantage of creating and linking all social media networks to drive business to the site. Social networking sites allow customers to share information about your business from a grassroots level using sites like Pinterest to make recommendations and more. This essentially amounts to free digital word-of-mouth-advertising. By utilizing social media to spread the word about your business or a new product or service, you’re also able to reach a variety of key demographics just by keeping your finger on the pulse of all that is the latest and greatest in internet marketing. Social networking sites allow you to share things such as videos, documents, presentations and other engaging media.

3. Search Engine Optimization

Of course, your website and social media efforts won’t be successful unless people can search for and find your business online, so you should also be taking advantage of search engine optimization, or SEO. In a nutshell, SEO can be summed up in 5 words: you are what you rank. SEO combines a variety of tactics to make your website and social networking profiles rank higher with major search engines. Without optimizing your website and social networking profiles, a potential customer may find your competition instead of you.

4. Mobile Technology

All businesses great or small should consider utilizing mobile technology to increase your business as well. These days people are permanently attached to their phones and offering customers the opportunity to sign up for a text mailing list, or promotional sales each time your business is running a special or a new product or service is introduced, to all of your client base at once is a priceless marketing strategy. Using mobile technology to link text messages back to your site is a brilliant way to keep your customers within reach and enables you to entice your customers to try and take advantage of offerings things they normally wouldn’t.

5. Cloud Computing

Finally, cloud computing is rapidly becoming a major help with regard to helping businesses to get ahead. Cloud computing is yet another form of networking which allows for the storage of information for the purpose of sharing it with employees from almost anywhere, even if they aren’t in the office. This is yet another reason why it is extremely important to ensure that your company website is on a reliable server and has the necessary amount of data and bandwidth to accommodate the product and service offerings and the anticipated online traffic flow. Cloud computing also allows you to use pre-built applications including, but not limited to, point-of-sale applications on your website. This cuts down on costs associated with having custom-built certain applications that used to be necessary that created additional overhead costs as they needed to be managed.

If you’re unsure about how to get started as it relates to diving into the ever-changing world of technology, you may want to consider partnering with a web marketing firm or a cloud computing services provider. Next, you want to consult a company that specializes in servers and data. These types of businesses assist other businesses aspiring to get on board with a number of technology options to address each company’s unique needs.

For these tips above I would add one more thing – motivation and inspiration, well, two things. But agree, that without an inspiration you won’t succeed much. You may do all following strict rules of marketing but doing it just that you have to do it is not the case…
Wish to all who’s dealing with online business a great and powerful inspiration! Thanks for the tips!
