Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Get Windows 8

Microsoft has been putting in a lot of work on their newest operating system, Windows 8. This all new operating system is the future of Windows, and it definitely affects the future of the PC as we know it.

This system has a lot of new features and innovations that have tech bloggers, analysts and everyday consumers champing at the bit to get Windows 8 on their machine. You may or may not know if this is the right operating system for you, but it is.

Not every new or enhanced feature that Microsoft will roll out with Windows 8 is right for you, but most of them will be. That is why you should pay close attention to the top 5 reasons why you should get Windows 8, as at least some of these reasons surely apply to you.

It is so much faster. Microsoft always says that one operating system will be faster than the previous one, but usually the difference in speed is only discernible to a person holding a stopwatch, but that is not the case with Windows 8. Everything will be faster, and this includes boot time. As a matter of fact, boot time is anticipated to be about 5 times faster than boot time was with Windows 7. Even if you don’t have a need for speed, this will give you a boost in your productivity or more time for entertainment.

It should have Xbox Live Support. Not too much is known about this upcoming feature, but it certainly is promising and exciting if you like gaming. This seems to indicate that Windows 8 will be set up so that your options for relaxations, leisure time and entertainment will expand wildly via the features brought by this new OS.

It will come with the cloud. Cloud computing has been around for a while, but it is quickly turning into the next big thing, as everyone in the industry is jumping on board. The cloud will be integrated in Windows 8 via SkyDrive. This will be beneficial in many ways, allowing users more options for saving data, backing up and protecting information, sharing files, conserving memory and much more.

It will be safer. Security is a big concern in computing today. More and more threats are coming out all the time. These malware infections like viruses and trojans are annoying at the very least, and they can be very expensive even when not at their worst. A nasty infection can lead to identity theft, compromised financial information and even costly computer repairs. The enhanced security that will come with Windows 8 will be a great help.

It is easier. The Metro desktop is designed for ease and convenience. If you aren’t the most computer savvy, it will be easier to access your system and do what you need to do. If you are a computer pro or a power user, the interface will let you get where you need to go and do what you need to do even faster, increasing productivity. If you think new is harder for you, you can always use an interface that looks more familiar, looking almost identical to the Windows 7 interface you may have already gotten to know.

Conclusion

Windows 8 is going to be awesome. While it is out now as a developer preview and will soon be released as a beta version, you may want to hold off until its anticipated release sometime in the middle of 2012. The present versions are not completely finished products and could be unstable and lack support; even if you are very good with computers, the current build may not be right for you.

You should definitely get your hands on Windows 8, as soon as it is good and ready. The top 5 reasons listed here is just a sampling of why you should get Windows 8; there are many more solid reasons why you will want to get your hands on Microsoft’s innovative new operating system.

Really nice, but It has several bugs too and it\’s not that easy to find things in Windows 8, nevertheless these bugs hopefully be removed by Microsoft via updates…

After rereading this post I have a feeling it was written a year ago since it refers to delivery mid 2012, beta, etc etc, Windows 8 is here and we should be reading articles on what it is actually doing for consumers, not what it might do. Am I in some kind of a time warp??

I have already used the beta version and I was hoping that Microsoft will make some improvements in final version but I was disappointed to see that there were no major changes, and I think I will waste my money for just the look when I already have windows 7, and I am happy with it.

Considering Windows 8 is still relatively new, it may not be able to run certain programs at the moment but surely as time goes on all manufacturers should/would upgrade their software or risk being left behind. I remember when Windows 8 first came out, I couldn’t run Filezilla on it but all that has changed now.

I am definitely going for this because i am fed up with the booting speed of my Windows 7 operating system especially in times when i require some data urgently.Hence booting speed really matters to me.Also the cloud storage is a great way to store your content.

The best thing that distinguishes windows 8 from 7 is the faster startup as it is twice the speed of seven.I have read somewhere that Windows have even beat Mountain Lion and hence I would say that Microsoft have done a great job.It has a whole new world of apps and the updating thing is very simple if you have purchased an app. Finally the most excellent thing of all is the SkyDrive integration.

Windows 8 is great for tablets and home users. But Windows is not yet ready for the business world. Businesses have learned the hard way that Microsoft products need time to mature and to have all the bugs discovered and then removed. My recomendation is that businesses wait at least 1 year before upgrading to Windows 8.

Really windows 8 is my PC Life now 🙂 and it’s blazing fast. Well when I was using windows 7 it takes around 40 seconds to boot properly and now window 8 is taking hardly 6-10 seconds depending upon the start up programs I am using. hats of to microsoft developers.
